Re: My before and after jaw surgery pictures!

Hi Suzanna, your results are amazing! You look so beautiful!

May I ask a question? How did your ortho get on with adjusting the midline, you said they were a little to the left. Did it work out ok?

Re: Faith Hill's braces

That's great :) I appreciate when celebrities do normal things like getting braces. Especially when it sheds a positive light for other people. Good for her!

17 months in braces - video link

Hi everyone :) I made my first youtube video documenting my journey through braces. Here is a link. It's just a compilation of all my braces photos for the last 17 months. It's nothing fancy because I'm a youtube newbie but I think it shows quite a transition! :) Please excuse my Rudolf nose in many...

Re: I just need to vent (warning: self-absorbed post)

Hi Paco, it makes me sad to hear you talk like that about yourself. I have been there myself- in the darkest times of despair. It's good you came here for support. We are listening :)

Is there anything that you can do to fix your problem? What exactly is wrong with your smile just now?

Proud and beaming :)

Ok... This is going to sound crazy.... but I have come to like my braces; since I had them fitted (and for the first time in my life) I smile proudly for a camera. I wear my braces like a badge and love it when people do a double take to look at my mouthful of metal! (Thinking, isn't she too old for...

@Beebop

soggy pillow! Funny  but sadly true...

I have no idea when my appointment will be (not in the next month or two anyway) but I will be sure to post here when I have spoken to him (with my gigantic list of questions in hand)!

Re: Third adjustment!

It makes me a little blue when I don't get a new wire at my ortho appointments. Strange that I feel that way when I know that a new wire means new pain!

Re: Intro and 3 orthodontic opinions - your thoughts?

I don't think 'surgery' or 'extractions' are mutually exclusive. I've had/having both. I thought I'd point that our for any future readers. Some people may need one or the other, some will need both. I've had supernumerary teeth and I had a small upper arch. I have had loads of teeth extracted (ive ...

Re: Intro and 3 orthodontic opinions - your thoughts?

Hello undecided. I don't know much about lingual or incognito braces. But if I were faced with your decision I would bear certain things in mind. In what ways are incognito braces better than lingual - enough to justify such a massive price difference? (Not in my opinion!). Is it worth risking the e...

Re: arch wire sizes????

My last adjustment was a rectangular size 18 (Only on upper arch) I'm sure I heard my ortho say 18/25 to the dental assistant when she requested the new wire. It hurt for a fortnight. I'm not sure what the 23 part meant.

I too would be interested if anyone knows the answer to your question :)
