Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I recently returned from two weeks of traveling and I'm happy to say that my Invisalign was not at all an inconvenience on the trip. I was very pleasantly surprised! As it happens, the routine required for traveling is really conducive to Invisalign....much more so than summer lounging and family re...

Re: I want my money back!

To be honest, I think the chance of having a significant allergy is slim. There is no latex in the product so you should be fine. Just make sure to wash your hands before taking the trays out of your mouth so that you don't get a cold or virus that way. I think that is what happened to me...I took t...

Congrats on debracing being so soon! I'm surprised that you have black triangles because your bottom teeth looked so straight to begin with. Did you know you had some bone loss before hand? It seems that a few people on here heard about bone loss or short roots from their ortho for the first time (n...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I switched to tray number 5 on Thursday and found it interesting how I could feel the exact teeth that are the focus of these particular aligners. I can really feel these ones on the bottoms...particularly the right lateral and canine area. This is great because the lateral is pushed back further th...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

So, the attachments are on. They aren't that horrible, honestly. I find them very noticeable myself but I got through the whole day at school yesterday without my students saying anything. And if they noticed, they would definitely have mentioned it since they are 6. One time when doing "I spy" with...

Re: iTero Digital Impressions

I had the scan done but I don't know if it was called itero or not. I thought it was IOC or something. Mine had no powder...just a light scan. It was super easy and much better than the invisalign mould I had done at a previous ortho. This was like a library check out scanner. It was just placed aga...

Re: Invisalign Question

My first two trays (I get my third and the attachments tomorrow) didn't hurt. I don't know if my lack of pain is because I don't have attachments yet or if your pain is excessive? Maybe others can pitch in but in the meantime, take tylenol and call your ortho if it gets to be too much. Good luck!

Re: Ellebraced is getting braced- PICS !!!!!

Wow Elle!!! Amazing news! I have been following your story from near the beginning as I initially began my journey just after you and you were very supportive of me with my pre-braces panic. Since plans changed, I have only just started now (Invisalign) and it is amazing for me to realize that you a...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Today is the day I switch to my second tray, however I have already switched the tops. I cracked the top aligner removing it one day. At first it was so small that I didn't think it would be a problem but after a few more times of removing it, it became clear that the crack was going to be an issue....

Re: Poll: Did You Have An Allergic Reaction to Invisalign?

I'm guessing it is coincidence, but I got a sore throat two days after starting Invisalign and then lost my voice for 4 days. No other symptoms.

Re: Invisalign retainers - essix, bonded or wire?

Hi there! I think often times people who have Invisalign go for Vivera retainers, which are the brand offered by Invisalign. It offers a subscription of 4 retainers over time, which are taken (I believe) from the last stage of your clin check. I think they are very similar to Invisalign trays but I ...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I'm on day number 3 and I already have a few things to report. Unfortunately, it isn't anything fun. First, a word of warning: Don't try whitening while in Invisalign. I've heard of people who were fine with it but it really isn't worth the pain if you aren't one of those lucky ones. I decided I'd g...

Re: Sick... Do you use (sugarless) cough candy with Invisal

Thanks...I tracked some down and they at least provide moisture. They don't help much with the razor throat but I don't think anything does.

Re: Strep Throat-Making it Tough To Wear Aligners

I'm having a similar problem..I have an extremely sore throat and I have lost my voice entirely. I am only on my third day with aligners so I didn't get much of an adjustment period before this little surprise! I bought some sugar free halls to suck on and they ease the pain a bit. My main concern, ...
