Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Cruelty, thy name is Canada's Wonderland. Oh my goodness. I have travelled on an airplane, backpacked around England, went cottaging with no electricity and have never had any difficulty when it comes to Invisalign. The theme park Canada's Wonderland, however; just about did me in! Snacks everywhere...

Re: Jem's belated story

Congrats on your debracing, Jem! :jump: Your essex retainer looks completely invisible to me. Is it contoured to the shape of your teeth at the gums or is it straight across? Must feel good to have a fantastic post-braces smile...I can't wait to be in your shoes!

congrats again!

Re: I'm going to get braces this year!

Definitely call and report. Your ortho would want you to. Then, if your appointment is close he may say to wait but usually for broken wires they want you to come in.

Re: Jem's belated story

Jem, I haven't been on much lately and wondered if you were finished by now. It looks from the posting like you are on the final days! It's been a long time coming and that will make it even more of a celebration.

What will you eat first?

Re: 32 years old and 1 month braced.

That does sound scary, Quins! I'm sure it's fine but I think you should call your ortho and explain about the neck of the two adjacent teeth being exposed and it being painful. At the very least, he (or she) may be able to put a kind of varnish on them that blocks the pours and makes it less sensiti...

Re: I'm going to get braces this year!

Wow! That's huge progress in a short time! Your left side has really evened out the jaw discrepancy. I'm doing Invisalign and I'm happy with my progress (I just posted progress pictures today as well) but I do think that with regular braces you get to see the progress faster. It must feel very motiv...

Re: 32 years old and 1 month braced.

Looks great! I know you had to go through a lot to get to this point but your progress is great for such a short period of time!

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

It feels like a lot has happened in only a month and a half; probably because I have been through so many trays in such a short time. That said, I haven't gone through as many trays as originally expected. I was on a 5 day plan but found that switching trays every 5 days was causing some tracking is...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

I changed trays again last night and there is very little discomfort today. Last time the trays went in very smoothly but I woke up the next morning with a very tender canine. This time I don't feel any tooth tenderness but I do feel like my gums are a bit sensitive on my front teeth. Those teeth ar...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Tonight is the second time I have changed my trays at only day 5, while using AcceleDent. I'm now really convinced it works and is well worth the money. This aligner also fits like a glove. One tray could have been a fluke but changing two aligners at 1/3 of the usual time when there is strong rotat...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Well, so far so good! I changed my aligner last night for the first time since AcceleDent and I had no problems. I could feel a little tightness on the left hand side, which is where the movement is supposed to be happening, but it fit very well into place. Lets hope it keeps up and I can continue c...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Hi Jem! I think, normally, it would be used from the beginning of treatment but it has just recently been approved in Canada and my orthodontist is just getting his first ones in right now. He is pretty cutting edge, IMO, so I imagine it will take a while to filter down into every office. Because th...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Some exciting new changes happened this weekend with my Invisalign treatment! My orthodontist offered me the opportunity to try a new device called AccedeDent, which has recently been approved in Canada after a few years on the market in Britian, Australia and the US. It can be easily used with my c...

Re: Lilone's invisalign experience

Tonight I change aligners for the first time since my new trays with my new attachments. Thank freaking goodness that two weeks is over! It was by far the longest and most trying since starting treatment a year ago. Until this tray, everything seemed remarkably easy and Invisalign was a non-issue fo...

Re: SmartTrack material sloughing off?

Thanks so much for asking. It's good to know that they are aware and that it is not going to affect the aligner. I hope they decide to stop adding the bite comfort layer since any additional comfort it adds is negated by the rough feeling of the sloughing off. I would suggest to anyone experiencing ...
