Re: Newbie

Update again :D I had my second adjustment today :D Thought it was going to go terribly wrong as I am full of cold and had a massive coughing fit like 5 minutes before hand :o Luckily though got in there, sat down. First I questioned about my midline on the top being off, she said it was normal to n...

Non Symmetrical

This is something that has been bothering me since I started noticing my teeth moving. My top 2 teeth have never lined up with the middle of my lip if that makes sense. And since getting braces I think it has made it worse because now it looks like in a way I have one middle tooth :( And I don't thi...

Re: Does anyone hate adjustments as much as I do?

I had my first adjustment yesterday. Pain isn't too bad today, but can only eat on the one side :/ Even that hurts though :( The adjustment wasn't too bad except when she went to tighten a wire (which hurt) and pop off come a bracket -,- Her scrapping the glue off was really putting me on edge as we...

Just had first adjustment earlier today. Not looking forward to tomorrow when it's starting to kick in, let alone Christmas :( Back to cutting up everything into tiny pieces again and swallowing whole me thinks :L

Re: Newbie

So I promised to update :D I had my first adjustment today :D Went quite well, wasn't as bad as I was expecting which is good :D I had 2 brackets replaced. One due to it wasn't in the correct position so she took it off and put another on. As for the second one...urgh! She was trying to tighten a wi...

Re: Eating Is Hard For How Long?

I've had mine on for coming up to 5 weeks Tuesday and still have to cut every single piece up small. Although I have found that because I was told to eat on one side (to avoid bending the wire that is over gaps on the other side) that my chewing side is getting sore :( So isn't very good, so having ...

I have a gap top and bottom (from extractions) also that needs to be filled with teeth. Both gaps are on the left side of my mouth as well so I have to chew to one side as not to bend the wire. Which is lucikly now turned into a habit, but sometime would prefer to use the teeth on the other side XD ...

I found personally that paracetamol or Ibruprofen didn't work :( I had to result to Voltarol :/ Which worked a wonder (even though its a anti-inflam) but in my one Boots I found a god send! I managed to find assorted sets of interdental brushes for getting inbetween the brace :D And it was 3 for 2 a...

So my braces are 3 weeks old today. Am really surprised that my teeth have actually moved slightly, because now I have a gap in my two front teeth that has appeared over the last 3 days. It's real strange but then at the same time, satisfying to know they are on the move :D Hopefully won't be in bra...
