Re: doing the dentist/orthos job for them!

I also had this happen at my last ortho appointment. The technician handed me several more sets of trays and said all was well. No mention was made of placing the additional attachment I was due to get with the next tray. I brought this to her attention and she reviewed my file to find that I was ri...

Re: Bad Breath only AFTER remove aligners to eat

I beg to differ with you bbsadmin, but while some toothpaste/toothbrushes will possibly scratch aligners (probably a firmer bristle brush with toothpastes containing ingredients such as baking soda possibly), others will not! I have used a Sonicare toothbrush in combination with both Colgate Total W...

Re: Bad Breath only AFTER remove aligners to eat

I used Retainer Brite everyday when I first started wearing invisalign. I think it is a waste of money. A good cleaning with an electric toothbrush and toothpaste accomplishes the same thing, or at least for me it does. Using the aforementioned routine, I never have any foul smell from the aligners ...

Loose Tooth

OK, I know this is a normal part of the process with orthodontic treatment, BUT I need reassurance from other invisalign patients! Since starting treatment, I have noticed some very slight loosening of a few teeth. However, I have one tooth that seems to be much looser than any I have noticed before...

Having invisalign is a commitment, and you have to be willing to make changes in your normal eating/drinking (except water although I do drink an occasional soda w/ my aligners in but brush after I am finished) habits. Also consider that you need to floss/brush your teeth after meal and snack. If yo...

they do look much whiter! i have seem improvements in the color of my teeth as well just using a sonic toothbrush. i had some white blotches on my front teeth before invisalign, and now i can't see them at all! brushing 3-4 times a day really helps i guess!

jb23... I think the position of the attachements is probably determined after your ortho has sent the impressions to invisalign. Depending on the experience your ortho has using the invisalign method, he/she may have the knowledge from past/current cases to make a sound estimate of attachment placem...

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having. It sounds very painful and I dont blame you for wanting a resolution!! I did just have a question for my own curiosity. Could you switch to traditional braces over the invisalign trays? I do not know anything about TJM so there might be an obviou...

It was hard for me to eat at first with the attachments on as well. I promise you your mouth will adjust quicker than you think! Soon you will be eating as normal again! Im not sure if the problem is also pain you have when biting into food. If so (and for anyone else reading this) that will get bet...

Biting lips as teeth move

Does anyone else have problems biting their lip/cheek as they notice their teeth moving? I switched to a new aligner two days ago, and bit my lip about 5 or 6 times tonight at dinner. I am thinking its because my lips aren't use to the new position of my teeth. Has anyone else noticed this after cha...

"I'm a patient at one of those fancy, esteemed..sumptuous cosmetic dental offices. The surgeons have been in the media and work with many actors and models"

You just answered your own question. Did you shop around for treatment at an office that isn't "famous"?

I just got my attachments yesterday. I think mine are more visible with the aligners in than when they are out. I know that is opposite of what most people are posting. I think its because mine are pretty much the exact color of my teeth and blend in very well. With the aligners on, I can see more s...

While I am only on tray set three, I think I might be able to put your mind at ease. Looking at my clincheck video, it appears that my teeth will also be pushed out, then brought back in by the time the treatment is finished. I thought this was kind of a weird way to go about it, but hey, I'm not th...

Thats great! I am excited for you! I changed over to tray two yesterday. I cant really visually see any change, but I can feel a change in the spaces between my teeth when I floss. Its a great motivation to know there is progress!
