Well I am at the two week mark, and that crazy canine is a cadidate for the most improved award. My teeth stopped hurting just a few days ago. They still bother me if I try to do something stupid like bite my nails. Braces seems to be the natural cure for nail biters. I am still not eating...

Thanks everyone. I was especially worried as since my teeth are moving now, I cannot close my jaw naturally anymore (because my teeth are in the way) I now have to hold my jaw forward. Sounds like my tmj problems are going to come to an end in about a year....I am so excited. :)

Ummmm....Yes big changes, wow. They look amazing. :jump: <----thats a round of applause for the damon brackets (and your awesome teeth.) Isn't it great to have some results? I also have the damon clear. I'm not even at the one month mark and at first I was the only one to notice it but they are movi...

What happens after surgery if I still push my lower jaw out?

I have an overjet 7 mm. I compensate by pushing out my lower jaw so that my front teeth meet. I do this when I'm eating or speaking or for photos. Sometimes I do it even though I'm not using my mouth or teeth for anything. I don''t even think about it anymore. Has my jaw been trained to be like that...

I have finally finished reading your entire story. I am amazed at your ability to stick through all of this without completely losing it. I don't know if I could handle everything so well. My only question is, why didn't you sue the first doctor you had? If that happened to me I would have been on t...

Thanks Alimommy1 :-#) Doing anything just for yourself is so exciting! I am fairly petite and I have a baby face ( not chubby, just large eyes). It used to really be okay to be cute for me, but not with this job! It does seem that the women are more than likely in charge of searching for the house a...

sammywantsstraightteeth- I don't think my friends and family are getting any less supportive, but they are not saying anything about it, which works for me! My husband actually noticed my bite was off and my teeth were crooked for the first time about two days ago. I guess as adults we just gotta gr...

I've been braced for less than a week and I have noticed changes. I only have my uppers braced too. My lower canine's tip is now touching the rounded part of the inside of my upper canine. My back teeth aren't meeting by just a millimeter. Feels funny. I hope the progress keeps going....It makes the...

I have heard of recession in adult ortho cases, and root resorbtion. I saw two orthos before beginning treatment and neither mentioned it to me at first consult or even now that I'm in braces. I wonder why it wasn't mentioned as a risk? I would rather have my crooked teeth than have recessed gums I ...

I had no pain the first two days. And now its getting worse every day. Especially in the morning. I gloated at first that I had no pain...wow these damons must be a marvel of engineering I thought. I spoke too soon. And this is just a little wire.... I clench at night which makes it worse in the mor...

I look younger than my age of almost thirty. Usually this is a great thing. Except when it comes to my job. I am the youngest realtor in my county. Which is great, except I feel constantly like I need to prove to people that I am old enough to deal with the sale of their expensive home. So my bigge...
