Orbit White

Probably a silly question, but is it OK to chew? I avoid "whitening" toothpastes (for whatever they're worth!) but is it OK to chew this gum? I love the bubblemint flavor!

Re: BracketRacket's story

Got a cleaning today, they said everything looks nice and clean! Yay!
Been feeling pretty good lately, I'm sure I'll regret saying that shortly!

Re: Do I win the "bumper" war?

They are hard to get pics of, for whatever reason! I should be getting rid of two tomorrow and hopefully the one in the front soon, but the one around my baby tooth should be there for the duration!

Do I win the "bumper" war?

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab148/BracketRacket/Bottomson.jpg I have had one on top, covering the baby tooth that doesn't have a bracket. With the addition of the bottoms, I gained THREE more -- one covering the wire in front of a wonky incisor that's not included in the wire yet, and two ac...

Re: BracketRacket's story

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/ab148/BracketRacket/Bottomson.jpg (Hope the pic turns out OK and not giant, trying something new!) Why is it that the braces make everything look 1000 times "worse"? Haha...I knew the bottoms wouldn't be pretty, but sheesh! I have a bumper on the front, where the ...

Re: BracketRacket's story

Ouch -- teeth are a little sore but not terrible, but I guess because the spacer are father forward (on my second premolars) they are irritating the bottom of my tongue on one side...not fun!

Re: jaw aches, headaches and teeth only touch on one side...

If you are very concerned, I would consult with another ortho. From what I understand, the six-month system fixes cosmetic issues, so if you are having functional or bite issues, that likely would not have been addressed during your treatment and may need further examination.

Re: Braces and tax deductions

I would assume that if you itemize deductions, it would qualify as medical costs. Just IMHO, I would definitely check for sure!

Re: BracketRacket's story

Spacers are in -- only had to fight with one of them, so not too bad! A little sore, but nothing terrible -- but we've got awhile to go yet!

Re: Jaw noises + a lying orthodontist

I have some moderate clicking and occasional pain on one side -- I was always told that the braces (and in my case surgery) would help prevent the issue from progressing by aligning everything better, but would not correct what was already occuring. I get the feeling from most that this is usually t...

Re: Please help with retainer selection!

His assistant had one on and said she's been wearing it for 10 years!! I think that's ridiculous and a bit excessive. She says she doesn't even notice it anymore and the only time she does is when she flosses. They were implying that you should jut wear it until you die. Retention is for life -- or...

Hope that went well!

My front teeth should join a band -- so much clicking and snapping! Next we need to work on rhythm and beats!

wanted to give this a little nudge, I see a couple questions about colors on the first page.

For the record, I have teal on the bottom and a grey powerchain/silver ligs on top at the moment!

Re: HI!! Introducing myself/QUESTIONS about adult SARPE

Have you had any consultations with orthos? Two or three would be a good place to start, express your concerns, gather opinions, learn about treatment options, etc. Many orthos work closely with oral surgeons, so putting together a "team" you're comfortable with, as well as them being used to workin...
