Made a typo the last time I updated, my adjustment is today (the 16th) not the 13th. I am kind of nervous about the appointment today, at my last appointment the ortho said he thinks my braces could be off in September, which means there is a chance I will get a de-brace date today. I am going to tr...

Hi pink frost!

My front teeth overlapped before I got braces, the more my arch widened and the more my teeth straightened out the bigger the gap got. My ortho did give me a power chain and it did close the gap up, thankfully!

If you want to see pictures feel free to check out my story :)

Thank you equaternal, haidivolume and Takako! I have a quick update, I went for a cleaning on July 5th, it went well, and I don’t have any cavities or anything, which is always a good thing! I had another adjustment on July 16th. They put a power chain back on top and changed my power chain on the b...

I have a coil spring, it isn't a very big one though so it is easy to manage, it just collects a lot of food! I have had it for about two months, but at my last adjustment they moved it and I think they will continue to keep moving it until all my teeth are shifted to where my ortho wants them.

I have self-ligating braces and when I first started my adjustments were about 12 weeks apart, the longer I have been in braces the shorter the time between adjustments. My adjustments are 3 weeks apart now that I am nearing the end of treatment.

Yes, my orthodontist put on my braces, his assistant handed him the brackets and any tools he needed. Whenever I go for adjustments the orthodontist comes in and checks everything out and then tells his assistant what to do and then she does it. The last time I went he took out my wire and put a ben...

Hi Mike! I am very happy with my decision to get braces, they were definitely the right decision for me and I love my results so far!

Bekah - Thank you! I am so thrilled, especially now that I am on the home stretch, it shouldn't be too much longer now!

Congrats on making the decision to get braces!

I know when I got mine I felt like it was taking forever to see changes. I think it was about a month or so before my teeth really started to move.

The first couple of times I fainted it was always confusing coming too, I was always thinking "how did I end up here?", or wondering why everyone was staring at me, or holding me, not a pleasant experience! The last couple of times I had been able to feel it coming so I could prepare and lay down so...
