Hawley Retainer Question?

I was just wondering something. I will be wearing a lower hawley retainer next month and wanted to know if the retainer would not only keep my teeth in place, but will it correct minor crowding.?

Glad to here that the retainers help move shifting teeth. That's my problem. I never got my wisdom teeth taken out and my bottom teeth had been tilting inward and not straight as they used to. Once I get them removed I will request a lower hawley retainer. By the way I never had any ortho treatment ...

If the ortho suggest a retainer I certainly want the hawley not the essix. Ive heard better results with the hawley retainer coming from family and friends experience.

I've heard stories whether or not wisdom teeth actually shift teeth, but drrick your right it seems your teeth can shift no matter what. Either way it looks like a retainer will do the trick once my wisdom teeth are removed. My wife's 4 bottom teeth are gapped and it seems that since her wisdom teeth...

Deprogrammers: How do they work!

Bottom 4 teeth gapped. Will a retainer work to close gap?

My Wife has an overbite. Typically straight teeth but her bottom four teeth our gapped. Never had ortho treatment before. Ive read that wearing a orthodontic retainer can close the gap. Is this true?

teeth grinding morning jaw pain and headaches-need solution

Ive tried like every night guard out there. Either not comfortable or easily wears down. Ive heard of a appliance called a Kois deprogammer. It looks alot like a hawley retainer. Is it expensive? Does anyone on this board wear one? I need a solution for this problem!!!

Kois Deprogrammer? Good for night time grinding?

I have been researching info on the best possible appliance for bruxism and came across this. It looks exactly like a hawley ortho retainer. Just was wondering does anyone out there where one of these? Are they comfortable? and how expensive is it?
