I had 4 teeth extracted, premolars, and I don't think my face has changed shape at all.

For those who have had thick, square wires, was the insertion procedure really tough? It was in my case... my face was pretty much mauled by the poor assistant. The wire did NOT want to go through the buccal tubes!! I hadn't heard this complication ever mentioned on here before.

I LOVE colored ligs! The only time I've had clear ones were for some special mini-powerchains my ortho used a few adjustments ago. They only came in clear so I didn't have a choice. Right now I have neon orange and neon pink!!

My teeth moved super fast at the beginning of my treatment I remember! It was like overnight almost. And on the downside, my lower premolar also moves incredibly fast when the powerchain is taken off, and it becomes Gappy McGaperson. Booo! lol.

My first appointments were 8 weeks apart, then 6, then 4. Now they're usually 6 or 4 weeks apart, although I did have one 9 week stretch due to my ortho giving birth (adorable!).

Sometimes it's food or plaque. My teeth always smell bad when I floss <_< Flossing is gross! lol. Almost all 4 of my curled wires broke off at one point or another. I probably swallowed them. Right now I've only got enough to curl on my top right, and that's only because the wire likes to work itself out that way.

Oh, powerchain... Yeah. Super powerful stuff, closes some gaps in 3 hours, takes months to close others!!

Yep! I was so excited for my Repositioning app because it was kinda like the second phase of my treatment!

They are your teeth: YOU have to live with them, not your ortho. So TELL him/her you do not want any shaving done!!
