Many orthos will take the molds a few weeks ahead of time and then continue to make adjustments, but that makes no sense to me because it seems like the retainers would move your teeth back to the less desirable position... ...

Is it just like a little dot on the actual bracket? My brackets had those little colored dots at first but they come off after a few times brushing your teeth. I think they are just there to help the ortho with placement and stuff.

I agree with the above posters. I'm sure there are many good orthodontists in Europe - where in Europe are you moving to? But yea if you can, transferring your case to another ortho is probably your best bet.
