I had a really really deep bite and it has been opened with damon braces. Every case is different, but deep bites can be corrected with braces! :D

I had an elastic from the inside of my top molar to the outside of lower molar, no big deal except for the fact that at some point it started snapping all the time!

OK, so if I got it right is quite common to be unable to completely correct midlines, right? It's not that I'm really really concerned about that, I don't hink the midline is a big issue but just wondering if sth else could be done. thanks!

Thanks a lot, leah!

I've been wearing the midline elastics since June, so it's been five months already and little movement -but that depends, some people gets it corrected in no time while I seem to be stuck- so don't take my case as a reference!

Your teeth are looking great. I'm glad you wore the button and elastic for such a short time, I wore just the same thing for like 6 months and it was really annoying!

Good luck!

HeyBuckey, it's nice to follow your story, and really funny. Hope everything is getting better b now! I cannot compare since I've only had damons, but I can say that except for the first week, and after some archwire replacements, my teeth have not been sore, not even after regular adjustments. The ...

I would give the elastics a try, these springs look way more uncomfortable! Elastics are a pain, but if you keep them in, you'll get used. More or less.

Cannot correct midline

I've been wearing elastics for my midline for like 5 months and despite some initial movement, they do not seem to have been doing anything for the last 3 months. I keep an eye on my midline but it is still as uncentered as it was, perhaps only slightly better. I've been pretty good at wearing the e...

probable debanding date!!

I went for an adjustment, complaining because the elastics are not correcting the midline despite the fact that I've been wearing them pretty much 24/7. The ortho said probably the assimetry is skeletal and the midline cannot be fully corrected - which does not seem as a big issue to me: I had a ver...

I get stains as well but not in the glue, on the teeth -somehow it seems that smoking, cofee and wine stain teeth more with braces than before. I've had a couple of cleanings and everthing goes awa, so don't panic! :D

In my experience, the elastics pain does get better but unlike most other things in orthodontics, it does not disappear completely. I've been wearing elastics for several months already, and every time I change them I still feel the pressure and some mild to moderate soreness in the teeth involved. ...
