For the last four months or so I've been having appointments every three weeks. My teeth move very fast so this seems to be working well for me. I think it depends on the ortho how frequently they schedule appointments.

I think it's a great idea to speak with your orthodontist about his plans - but don't panic, because like Andromeda said, your teeth can definitely get worse before they get better. Drink a TON of water - it will make a huge difference! You will adjust very soon but in the beginning my mouth was completely parched so I drank water almost non-stop and it was a big help.
