Re: Can I do it?

Hi Ebony, Thanks for asking. I am on day 2 but not quite 24 hours yet. The brace felt strange in my mouth yesterday but today it is already starting to feel like part of me. I thought I was going to have soreness on the inside of my lips today because my mouth was dry overnight. I woke up early and ...

Re: Can I do it?

Ebony, I am a 57 year old male in the UK. I got my brace put on yesterday and it really was no big deal. I feel fine about it this morning and am glad I did it. You have your whole life ahead of you. You obviously have the potential for a great smile-enjoy as many years of it as you can by starting ...

Re: upper sectional brace

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/824/upperarch.jpg/ Attached (hopefully) is picture of my upper arch. Whilst the obvious issue is the under-sized left lateral incisor which is pushed out of the arch, the main problem is the left central incisor which is pushed back and bites down on my lower inc...

Re: upper sectional brace

Thank you Lau. Your reassurance is much appreciated and I know I should not be getting too stressed about a sectional brace when other people on this site are coping cheerfully with full braces for a much longer time. Good luck for the remainder of your treatment.

upper sectional brace

My name is Jem and I am an over 50 from the UK. I had removable braces in my early teens but my front teeth have gradually become crowded again over the years. I had considered further orthodontic treatment after discovering this site but done nothing about it until my dentist noticed that my teeth ...

Treatments for an overbite?

If you look at Jay04's story you will see that her top teeth overlapped the bottom teeth as yours appear to do. She has been wearing an upper removable brace with a fairly thick piece of acrylic behind the front teeth which prevents her molar teeth meeting and which I think has enabled the molars to...

inman aligner

Nixxin, the Inman Aligner website shows several different types of aligner, some of which appear to be more visible than others. Which type do you have? How visible is it when you smile? I am not bothered what friends or family think of my appearance, but am concerned at the possible reaction of new...

inman aligners

I am also interested in the possibility of using an Inman Aligner to correct orthodontic relapse. I had NHS treatment when I was 12 which involved removal of 4 premolars and an upper removable brace. No retainers were offered in the UK at that time and my top teeth quickly moved back to their origin...
