I'm goin in next tuesday for a BSSO and Lefort I, my OS will be widening my upper jaw as well so my molars meet. My top jaw is narrower than my bottom.

The nurse was very helpful in telling me what will happen when i wake up .I will have 2 tubes on my neck to drain excess fluid,i will have the tube up my nose,a drip in my arm and i will have a catheter fitted once im asleep(.lucky me... :) These will stay in for 24 hours as apparently i wont have ...

I'm August 12th.... thanks karl & happy.... I did go to my pre-op today, and my OS seems to think i will be ok. I am having a lefort I and a BSSO, said I wont be wired shut and I will be able to move my jaw. Anxiety Attacks after surgery

I was just wondering if anyone had any issues in panic attacks after surgery? I have panic attacks when in CROWDED areas, or when I'm unable to move. I have Xanex perscribed for these attacks and I've read with bottom and top orthognathic surgeries that some tend to feel clasthrophobic(oops on spell...

Well, now that I've done some research on SARPE. I dont think that's the surgery I am having. In no way has my OS made comments about there being appliances put in my mouth to support my arch. I'm confused now on what's being done. And I guess will have to wait 2 weeks for my pre-op to clear it all ...
