If I were you I would NOT sign that contract, that place sounds horrible. Like Meryaten said, getting braces is a 2 year emotional and physical process, and you don't want to spend that lengthy time being doubtful and unhappy. From what I read, the third consultation you had, you seemed to like, I w...

Thank you guys! I am super happy, and yes, because of all the movement I have already seen, I should not be so hard on my braces ha.

I just wish ol' buddy on the left would take some tips from the right canine and catch up to himmmm.

Can't wait till the next adjustment :D

I doubt you'll have to use wax throughout your entire treatment, In fact I haven't used it all, I tried at the beginning but found it more trouble than it was worth. Your mouth will definitely adjust, the sooner you lay off the wax the faster that adjustment will happen.

The fact that you had three consultations, and are on a adultbraces forum, to me, is good indication that your teeth bother you enough to the point where yes, you should get braces, ha. That being said, the prices quoted for you seem very common, assuming that you are in the U.S. The only way the pr...

I was in almost the exact same situation as yourself. My ortho wouldn't let me sign for my braces because of " my lack of credit". So what I did was I got my stepfather to cosign for them, although he doesn't contribute to any of the payments. I decided to give up on ortho insurance, keep in mind th...

My braces are heat activated so they told me that drinking/eating something that is hot would tighten them and drinking/eating something cold would have the opposite effect. Biggest Tip Eat a good meal before, I made the mistake of not eating before I got my braces on and I payed the price later whe...

Man oh man do I miss BLT's on a bagel. The day I get my braces off I'm headed straight to brugers and gettin me one of them. More than just a particular type of food, what I miss most, is not being able to "devour" my meals. I miss being able to actually bite into things. I cut most of my food up in...

I completely agree with rolo, get a third opinion, it can't hurt. I got three opinions before I chose which ortho I thought would work best for me. I heard you can't achieve much results with a palate expander if your an adult... although I could be 100% wrong about that . Anyways, after your third ...

You guys weren't lying! I just had my first adjustment today and ahhhhh my teeth are throbbing. It sucks because I finally was eating semi normally, and not having much pain! I'm already in rectangular wires, does that mean my teeth already moved a lot? Hope so! In the mean time guess its back to ic...
