Man this is a hard one, sounds to me like she has halatosis. I fear that if you do tell her, it might have a pretty significant psychological impact on her. I mean, if someone told me that I had horrible breath, so horrible that it needed to be looked at by a professional I would become extremely se...

I would go with the braces and chain method. It will be much faster IMO. And you can make your teeth perfect at the same time. It's a win/win situation. I know it sucks having to get braces all for one tooth, my canines were the ONLY reason I got braces and that was hard to swallow at first but I de...

I had an adjustment yesterday and got a bracket on a tooth thats not yet on the gumline and the ortho assistant couldn't close the door on it for the life of her. And I kid you not it was literally the most excruciating pain ever, I pride myself on having an extremely high pain tolerance but I was t...

I started out with a .016 Niti round wire, than moved to a .016 x 25 ( I don't know if that is how you write it out, they just say a 16-25 wire) rectangular wire and then today at my adjustment they moved me back to a 0.14 round wireeeeeee, bummer, I want to be moving forward not backwards! At least...

I have Jaw popping on only my right side as well. I went to three consultations and all three of them mentioned it but because I didn't experience any pain they didn't seem to think much of it. If it only happens when you wake up then I don't think it would be a problem, mine happens almost every ti...

I definitely agree that chewing does help. What you could do too is to pop a wet wash cloth in the freezer then gently chew on it after it's grown cold (or you could buy a chillable baby teething ring, but that seems a bit of an overkill. Doesn't cold things mess up the memory of your archwire when...

I also started this lengthy process in September, although I did not have the please of having spacers :D . My teeth were extremely sensitive at the beginning and then I had extractions about 3 weeks after being braced..... I started loosing weight immediately, not sure how much but in the 10-15 lb....
