Thanks for the encouragement Shannon, Embrace, Unhappy Teeth and Ken. The surgeon's office just called to confirm my extractions for Monday, and I almost chickened out again! I thought - hmmm... maybe I have time to find another orthodontist who might want me to keep the bottom tooth.... ...right .....

I forgot to add... a couple bands felt too sharp, and something was sticking out the other band and I mentioned it to the technician. She sanded one down and bent down a 'hook' on another band and they felt much better. So, just a tip, if something really feels odd, speak up about it!!
