Braced Removed - Teeth Moved!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my braces off on 8/31 and immediately got my retainer. Because I am missing a tooth, I have a tooth in my retainer which tells you that I ALWAYS wear my retainer. Anyway, one of my teeth moved on the bottom EVEN with using my retainer. I'm sooo sad. What can I do?

Be very blunt about it and say explain to me why there is a slant, explain to me why it cannot be fixed, etc... Yea sometimes you have to be blunt. Last time I talked to my ortho tho, I asked a question about why I was wearing the elastics in a particular way and he sorta yelled at me  He sa...

Thanks for the feedback all! I took your advice and called another orthodontist in the area. Now, I have a new problem, lol. They won't see me until they see the records from my current orthodontist. I would rather get an opinion of another orthodontist without my current dr knowing. I know it seems...

Popcorn
I understand why bagels are bad, obviously they can break a bracket. Not eating taffy makes sense. But I don't understand why popcorn is bad? Can someone tell me why this is on the no-no list? I ask because I never restrict myself from it. Am I causing harm?

Don't trust my orthodontist - Need your feedback please
Hello. So I am now at 29 months of treatment. I was originally set for 24 - 28 months so I am over the allocated time, which is fine, I understand sometimes it takes longer. The part that is frustrating to me is that my orthodontist doesnt seem to care about my treatment time or results. I came in t...

Question: How do you know so much about your treatment?
Hi All! This may sound like a dumb question but I have noticed you all really know your stuff! You know what wires you have, what shape and thickness, you know the technical name of your rubberbands, you know all your teeth numbers, you know a lot! I'm wondering. How do you all know so much? Do you ...

Hi there. I see what you are saying. Now, bare with me because I'm not too good with names of teeth but I'll try. Firstly, I do see the holes. And for some reason or another, the holes seem to be more obvious on your left side (right side in picture) of your mouth. I'm not sure why? Also, I noticed ...

I know, I do need to ask. I feel the actual issue is my orthodontist is hard to talk to and I have to scream to get time with him. Like he would never call me directly if I had a question. I would have to go in and ask. My periodontist just called and said he is at the mercy of my ortho and if the o...

Frustrated. Confused. Anxious. Need advice.
Hi Ya'all. It's been a while. Here is my dilemma. I have had my braces on for 25 months now. Teeth look good, minor frustrations with two crooked teeth. Anyway, that's not important. I have a pontic tooth on my #9 tooth - in real talk, that means I have a fake took on my front left tooth. The tooth ...

When I was going to a consultation for braces, one of the checkmark options was 'mouthbreathing' as an option to check for reasoning to get braces. Apparently braces help mouthbreathing. I have been in braces since Jan 07 which is now about 18 months. I have been a mouthbreather since I can remember...

I have a pontic in my braces right now! I haven't seen anyone else with this, so it is nice that you posted these pictures and explained your story! Thank you. As for what to do, I do not have advice but I used a pontic on a retainer before I had braces. I would say though, do not wait too long to g...
