Re: Nearing debanding - not happy with right side of my teet

QT, I think you should talk to your ortho if you don't want to wait till next adjustment. You want to make sure you communicate with him so he knows you aren't happy with the results so far. I understand our teeth may never be perfect but realistic expectations should be discussed when we are at the...

Re: Nearing debanding - not happy with right side of my teet

QT, I understand your concern very well. Talk to your ortho and insist to get it fixed before taking them off. You must be satisfied with the results, is your teeth, your time, your money. I just got my braces removed after 32 months because I am moving to another country and can't afford continuing...

Re: Disappointing debanding after almost 3 years in braces

Thank you Chrystal, MyLittleTeeth and revontuli for your comments. I did talk my Ortho about the whole thing and told him I was very disappointed with the treatment and the outcome but he just said he was sorry and gave me a bunch of excuses but did not offer a partial reimbursement of any kind. Unf...

Disappointing debanding after almost 3 years in braces

Hello, I got my braces off yesterday and I will tell you a bit of my story. I was in braces for almost 3 years. I started with a crossbite and mild to moderate crowding and ended with an overjet, overbite and other problems. I am moving to England next week (I live in the US) and my current ortho as...

Re: Chewing Gum

Chewing gum has nothing to do with manners. You can have bad manners and not chew gum at all. I think the original post was about people in braces chewing gum and its pros or cons if any. If a person is chewing gum or food with their mouth open, obviously is not a sign of good manners. All I am tryi...

Re: Relocating in 8 months - should I wait to get braced?

If your financial situation is not very good at the moment and you will be moving and looking for work, than I will wait to get to London first. Also, as other people mentioned, you might have to pay more once you change orthos. I am moving to Manchester from the US in two weeks and I have been in b...

My teeth have been slanted since month 3 and I am now on month 31 and they are still slanted. I think it was due to elastics. They were so bad by month 12 or so but it is now a bit better. Ortho says is due to my crossbite that is a "work in progress" very slow in my case. Honestly, I just...

Jenny its been so long! As you can see, I am still braced...and will be for a while. I am sorry about your infection, that doesn't sound too good. What kind of surgery will you have? Good luck with the periodontist. The only experience I had with a periodontist was for a deep cleaning and that wasn'...

Thanks offwhite, I hope they end up looking good too :) Neptune. The post wasn't depressing at all, I know how you feel. We were braced at the same time and I completely understand your frustration. I hate that back and forth thing, with me, I don't even have a back and forth but it seems like my te...

Breaking up is always hard and I know what its like to break up while in braces. Hope you start feeling better soon and start smiling again :) I dated my ex for over 2 years. I met him before braces, broke up twice while in braces. I thought nobody will date me because of the braces, I felt ugly, et...
