The only thing on my no-no list that I have eaten is potato chips. I LOVE them. All kinds of chips, corn chips and puffs. Other than that I have changed my eating habits completely because it is hard for me to bite down. I have been braced about a month and a half. I have lost quite a bit of weight ...

I begin my weight loss with my spacers. I have only had my braces on a month and I am down about 8 pounds. I can only imagine what I will level off at. My eating habits haved changed completely and I have almost completely renounced all sweets and pop because I had worrying about what the sugar and ...

I think it just depends on the treatment plan and how bad your overbite/overjet is. I personally have had my braces on a little over a month and dont have a wire yet, just springs -2 at the top and 2 at the bottom. My ortho wanted to close my gaps as much as he could prior to putting on the wire and...

I personally had all four biscupids removed and have 4 huge gaps. I have four springs and in four weeks, my ortho (and myself) was very happy with my movement. I don't even have an archwire because he wanted to close the gaps as much as he could prior to putting on the wire. Cheer up. :D Hopefully ...

The assitant put on my T-arch, and also the brackets on back. The ortho put on my front brackets and springs. I don't have an archwire yet, but I do have silver ligs that were put on by the assistant as well. I just think that is the way it is done. Don't worry, I'm sure assistant and ortho know wha...

I think it is reasonable. My treatment time is 16-18months and my cost is $6110 total. Also, I think it also depends on the type of brackets, what kind of retainer you will have when done and how much treatment after the braces are removed is covered. I know after the removal of my braces, I am cove...

I've been braced only about a month but I have always smiled with both sets of teeth! My nickname was smiley in high school. I know people who do both but i think for some it is just how you smile normally. If you naturally have a big smile but was restricted from smiling as big as you could because...

Don't worry about! I am a second year law student and was little nervous about how seriously I would be taken with a mouth full of metal. I already look young and was little worried. The worst part was that I was being interviewed for the job of my dreams (they start summer associates at $1000/wk a...

I had all four bicuspids removed at once. I had very little pain. I also didn't need my pain medication either. i wasn't as lucky as Meryatan though. I had all four wisom teeth removed at once and was in pain literally for weeks. I'm sure you'll do fine. Just make sure you follow the ortho's instruc...
