Thanks Nirrad. The gap seems to be a sign it's working. :D My orthodontist is working with me to widen my arch as well. We talked about expanders, but he said he would rather use self-ligating brackets to do it. He said he wants to fix my bite first then go for the space. I'm still in the first coup...

Just a thought from an adult who had her palate cracked open at 35

I'm not sure how this board works yet.. I am trying to reply to the quote above and I'm wondering if your palatal suture was opened without surgery.
