Very nice progress so far. It makes the whole journey that much more easier when you can see such a dramatic difference in such a short period of time.

Keep up the good work.

Updated my story all. Thanks for all of the kind words. Kristine: the green powerchain was ok but the lavendar was definitely cooler but now that I have the pink ones they are my all time fave thus far. Attagirl: Definitely not on a diet just a coincidence that my appointments all fall before big ea...

AUGUST 18tTH 2004: I go in for my consultation. The ortho talks to me briefly and tells me the different kinds of braces that she offers. After seeing my x-rays the ortho commented that my gap wasn't the only issue that should be addressed with my treatment. She mentioned that my teeth weren't in t...

My Orthodontic Dreams Realized...

PREFACE: My story begins like most of yours. I was young and never really thought much about my teeth until one day when I was maybe 12 or 13 a friend made a comment about the gap between my two front teeth. I think from point on I became instantly self conscious about my teeth. I would cover my mo...

Why do YOU need braces? :?
You don't need to fix your teeth!!
I had a gap between my two front teeth that has always bothered me and caused me to be very self-conscious. It also affected my personality in a negative way thus causing me to become pretty introverted.

Its about a man who's mouth is sentenced to seven months behind bars....lol
LOL....
7 months seems kind of short in terms of ortho treatment, what exactly is your sentance for?

marc congratulations on getting your braces and kudos to you for not being in ANY pain thus far. I would just like to point out to you that everyone's treatment is different, everyone's ortho is different and everyone has a different pain tolerance. I can't speak to why you are not experiencing any ...

Wow congratulations on taking the steps to actually complete some of the items on your personal "to-do" list.
I really think that personal "to-do" lists are very helpful in allowing one to achieve certain goals.

Best of luck with your treatment.

The pain will go away. It took me 10 full days to be able to close my mouth and eat food without feeling any pain. I'm in my third week of treatment and my speech is still a little weird but it is improving. I also have issue with my teeth arriving 20 minutes before I do especially when I smile or l...

Welcome kikia. So happy to see so many new yorkers.
Sometimes when I smile big I feel as though it will take extra effort to pull my lips over my giant sized ceramic braces. I'm sure as time progresses it will be easier :D
Smile Proud!

Welcome to the club. I've had my brackets on for about two weeks and for a while I felt as if I was the only person over the age of 21 in NYC with braces on. I've been obsessed with other people's teeth lately. I've been staring at teeth lately, those who have had braces in the past, those who could...

I've used my sonicare two times so far and my teeth feel sooooo clean (like I just had a professional cleaning) and it appears that some of the staining on my ligatures has dimished. Yay!!!
