I'm 48. I went from a 2 week schedule to a 10 day schedule. It didn't seem to be a problem. The next trays go in and are only painful for only a couple of hours.

My ortho didn't even bother with half my attachments. I have two trays left so I guess he's not too concerned.

Well, I've been on a 10 day cycle for 5-6 trays now. Just slipped on 18 of 23. Trays go on w/o out complaint. They are tight for a day. Interestingly my ortho left off a few attachments. I noticed an incisor was not coming down. I asked the ortho and he let on that he plans on a few wires in the adj...

Wow. I was a little expecting to get chastised. I've been bad but I've been lucky so far. I'll keep my fingers crossed. If all goes well then at my next appointment (after 2 more trays) I may ask my ortho if I can accelerate.

For all the worriers

I don't want to encourage bad habits and I'm sure everybody is different but so far: I was supposed to get 9 attachments and the ortho only put on 5. One popped off the first week and the ortho said don't worry about it. I totally skipped a tray (about 6 weeks ago) by accident. Yeah the next trays w...

That's unusual because usually appointments are scheduled for when you are done a set of aligners. My teeth would be too painful to go in for an appointment the day after I started a new set of aligners. It's also surprising they didn't know or ask when you had changed into #6. I hope it doesn't ca...

Wow! My Ortho just skipped me ahead a tray...

by accident I think. Last night I put in #6 for the first time. When I went to my appointment this morning he asked me which tray I was on and I told him #6. I think he thought I'd been wearing it for two weeks. Because they used Tray #7 to add a button. And left them on. When I said something about...

I just saw my clincheck and I'm not happy that my midlines aren't going to line up.

Attachment fell off

So the 2nd day after attachments I counted only 5 and I thought they said 6. So I called the ortho office and they said as long as the trays were still snug don't worry about it.

So if a missing attachment isn't such a big deal why can't I just lose the one on the front tooth that bothers me?

I'm wondering how comfortable the retainers are. Since they aren't putting extra pressure trying to move teeth I imagine they're not to bad?

My ortho sent the clincheck back too. But even with that and a 2 week delay because my impressions had to be redone it didn't take that long.

Devushka, I took a look at your blog. Your teeth look great by the way. By watching your video and skipping from the beginning to the end you can really see the difference. I learned two things. 1) Don't assume they are going to fix my midline. 2) I'm not so sure it matters that much. I don't think ...
