Topic: 1 day in braces question - no pain - no sore teeth ??

I've got a pretty good tolerance for pain and my first few days in braces were bearable. The only annoying thing was my mouth getting used to the sharp metal. That took about 3 days. Even though I noticed movement in a day, the pressure feeling of teeth moving wasn't so intense that I needed pain ki...

You know you could take out the piercings for your treatment and if you really love them that much, you can get re-pierced when you're teeth are straight!

Spacers were very very annoying but the worst pain I've had is my most recent adjustment. Not excruciating but frustratingly painful in such a way that all I could think about for three days was the soreness of my teeth. But I think its a satisfying kind of ache and I only took one panadol the whole...

Yup only the front teeth need changing. No lowers on yet but I don't think its far away. My next adjustment is on July 10 and I hope they will tell me then when my lowers go on. There has been LOTS of progress. A rather large gap has opened up under my wonky tooth and they've all tipped out a good 1...

I've got the In-Ovation C's - check em out in my story (link below). Love them - very discreet and my ortho loves them too. :D

Check out my story (link in my signature below) - I've got a similar configuration. My ortho put the bands on my bottom molars on when I don't have my wire on yet. This was because he didn't want me to wear spacers twice. So here I am with bands around my back teeth and my bottom braces don't go on ...

The worst I have seen was on America's Next Top Model where a girl had a "snaggle tooth" like many of us on the boards. The particular tooth was an upper canine. The solution? Rip it out and put veneers on to cover the gap. WHO RIPS OUT A CANINE???? Aren't they the most important teeth in ...

Sounds like you don't have any serious bite problems. If your molars all line up correctly and are all angled nice then there is no need to put them in braces.

About 3 mins for me - angled at the gum line, angled towards the top of the braces, angled up at the bottom of the braces and then the backs and biting surfaces of my molars.

Should not take you anywhere near 30 mins!

There's definitely a lot of movement happening there. Your arch is getting much rounder. I'm the same with my two front teeth. They were always straight but right now they're going through a bit of a wonky stage. I figure the way the ortho works is he/she makes enough room for everything by shufflin...

Second Adjustment

Well no lowers on yet. But I got another new wire, even thicker this time! Sheesh. And SPRINGS!!! Dr Schwartz said that my teeth will move very quickly with the spring in. It's gonna push my teeth right out. As I was leaving the office I could already feel slight pressure. Off to my regular business...

For self-ligating brackets the In-Ovation C's are the most unnoticable on the market. The only way you could get more discreet is with traditional brackets and clear or white ligs. The disadvantages with those is that they are generally bigger overall and the ligatures can stain. BUT you already hav...

Oh that is awful - I would be angry at myself too. Maybe you should put it in your diary - or if you dont carry one, then put a reminder in your phone for your next adjustment as soon as you leave the ortho from the previous one. I put my adjustment in my diary - BUT when I got my braces on I had th...
