Hi funshine,
I have a couple of those too, it's just a piece of rubber tubing to protect the wire that skips a tooth from cutting into the inside of your mouth. Like you, I will also have to have springs at some point to make room for all of my teeth to be bracketed

I tried flossing the a few times in the first few days and it brought tears to my eyes! But after about a week I was flossing with no problems. I use superfloss and find it really good.

Hi TT, Congratulations on getting your braces! I'm glad you are not in too much discomfort and are managing to eat ok. Personally I prefer my electric tooth brush... I feel like I get a better clean, and that it actually hurts less. I think this is because I don't press as hard with my electric toot...

Congratulations! Hope you aren't feeling to down and out with the pain, I know I did at first! After a few days though it was much better, and now five weeks in I can eat pretty much whatever I want!

try not to stress about it too much. You'll be fine! I'm lucky enough to have not needed spacers, but I did have eight teeth out!!
