I have 3 upper molar crowns and 2 lower. I do not have any attachments on the crowns, but I do have attachments on the teeth next to them. I am on set 19, and have had no problems with the crowns. Good luck with your treatment.

I would suggest returning for a new opinion. I saw an ortho 3 years ago who did not think I would be a candidate for Invisalign. Two years later I visited a different ortho and received a different opinion (actually he presented 3 different options, one of which was Invisalign). I am going to have a...

Usually it is recommended that all the dental work be completed before starting with Invisalign. You might want to ask your orthodontist specifically about the wisdom tooth. It may make sense to wait on the impressions, and get the wisdom tooth extraction out of the way. You are going through a lot ...

Only the lower canine needed to be rotated, and I am on tray 16 of 26 for the lowers. That canine seems to be rotating as planned (there is an attachment on it), but the lower arch premolar on the other side does not seem to be rotating as well. I didn't have any on the top that needed to be rotated...

The ortho looked at the fit of the one attachment, which was no longer fitting in the bump, and decided to remove it. All the other attachments, and the shape of the aligners on the teeth are fine, so I just now have one less attachment. The tooth that the attachment was on now fits well into the al...

Get at least 2 opinions from orthodontists. It is amazing how different the approaches can be. Also, no one really notices, and if they do, so what. I told my hairdresser I was getting them, and I remind her after each hair appointment is finished, and she swears she didn't notice them (she always f...

Trying drinking water, which sort of irrigates between the teeth and the aligners. Also, the bubbles are likely more noticeable to you than others. I think that the bubbles are fewer as the aligners settle in and fit tighter. However, I don't think that you can completely avoid the bubbles.

Attachment (one out of 9) not fitting in the bump

Has anyone experienced having an attachment not fit into the groove or bump on the aligner? I have 3 attachments on each side of the lower arch, and one (a middle one on the lower left) does not appear to be in the bump for it on the aligner. The teeth seem to fit, and the aligner goes on and off as...

I can only say what works best for me, and that was after some trial and error attempts, but I never really had a huge problem getting them off. I have found that pulling slightly out on the edge to the back, first on the side that has the fewest attachments (or least resistence), then up (or down-d...

I am on my 9th set of aligners, and have found that the pressure or discomfort is usually only the first 3 days or so (sometimes even less-it does vary). So if you only take the over-the-counter pain relievers at those times, it really doesn't seem like that would be excessive. I usually only take 2...

It is good that you are consulting an orthodontist. You may even want to consult with two orthos, as you may get different opinions. The orthodontist is going to have other options if Invisalign isn't for you, or might suggest trying the Invisalign and finishing with traditional braces, as many on t...

You are very likely compensating for your speech production, and being more precise in you tongue movements. This is what a speech pathologist would get you to do to correct your lisp, so the aligners have likely created enough of an "irritation" that has made you alter your movements. An ...

I would be more than happy to tell people about the Invisalign, but no one has noticed (as far as I know) or at least have not said anything. I've lost about 5 pounds in 8 weeks, but had been working on losing slowly about a year before that (low fat yougurt lunch and more physical exercise- a combination that has worked great). I actually want to loose 5 more, which would put me back to my "trim self" that I was at age 30. I kn...
