Floating Retainers
This may sound daft but when I clean my essix retainers in the RetainerBrite they float on the top in the foam rather than being in the actual blue water underneath and I'm worried that they aren't being cleaned properly. Does anyone hold their retainers down with anything or just let them float lol...

Essix - getting them in help needed.
Hi everyone :) I got my braces off yesterday and picked up my essix retainers today just 2 hours ago. My ortho seemed to have no trouble getting them in and out but since I've got home I can't get them back in again. Is there some kind of knack to getting them in? He seemed in a rush with a surgery ...

What Are My Elastics For?
I've just been fitted with elastics and I've really no idea what they actually do. I have done a search here and mostly found that they are to correct your bite after your teeth have been straightened but I can't really understand how to tiny pieces of rubber band that stretch from a tooth at the to...

Thought I'd come here and update. Things are moving fast....blink and you'll miss it lol. My ortho said I've been one of his most easiest patients because eveything is moving exactly how he wants it and super fast. Dunno if thats a good thing or not because fast movement to me means unstable result....

Well I didn't take any pics as you can see lmao but I have recently but they are still on my camera waiting for me to put them on the pc. I have had my bottom braces on now for a week and I HATE them with a passion lol. I have a horrid taste of metal in my mouth and they don't look so pretty compare...

I've had periodontal disease and in the first stages your gums are redder than they should be. Healthy gums are pink and an even colour. Gingivitis and periodontal disease produce red, swollen and bleeding gums. It's only in the later stages that they turn gray or white which means that the infectio...

My adjustments are done every 10 weeks so an extra 2 weeks wouldn't be a problem for me so maybe it won't have any adverse effects for you. As for the ligs, well I don't have any so I wouldn't have that problems but wire ones sounds like a good solution. I would definately want to find out where the...

I voted for unfavourable changes as that is the only one on the list that has me worried. My face has changed a lot since my treatment started but I'm ok with it so far. But, my biggest fear is the stability of my teeth once my treatment is finished. I'm worried about going through all this discomfo...

Yep I agree Sabrina. Corsodyl may work great but hell it stains the teeth. When I used it my teeth and all around my gumline went brown and I couldn't get the stains off myself. Several trips to the hygienist were needed and all her scraping and poking around made my gums sore again...doh. It also t...
