Shifting even after 10 months

It's been a year since I was debraced and my teeth are still shifting. I have an invisilign retainer that I wore almost 24/7 for the first 6 months, now just nightly. However, I believe I will start wearing 24/7 again. Somedays after an entire day without the retainers sometimes hurt going back in.

To me you look great. It does appear that you have lost some weight which would cause your cheeks to look a little more sunken. In the before pics it does seem that your cheeks are fuller. As for your teeth. It looks like they were moved to match the front tooth that had a more forward projection. O...

Adjustment #2

Oh, my gosh!!! All I can say is what in the world was that. I went in on Tuesday morning to find that my normal DA was not going to be able to assist me. She is pregnant and near her due date so was now assigned to help at the front desk. Therefore, I had a new DA. I literally thought she had pulled...

Colors are cool!!

Well, I had my 1st adjustment on December 14 and decided to go with silver on top and light pink on bottom. They did not have purple, red, black or green, which would have been the other colors I would have chosen. http://a265.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/35/l_5cf1abafdae6fdc38d932f3d91144f68.j...

Gave In!!

Well, I finally gave in and took some pain meds. I forgot over the last four weeks how painful the pressure can actually get. I feel it all in the roots of my top front teeth and it actually seems to be giving me a headache. I have also felt the need to chew on some sugarless gum to see if it will ...

Oh, I forgot to add, I told the DA about archwired and she was excited. She had not heard of it before and plans to spread the word.

WELCOME!

Welcome aboard! I did not have to go through spacers either. However, I have had powerchains since I started this journey which I haven't heard of many doing right off.

Your journey is going to be so exciting and can't wait to see your progress. Good luck.

Powerchains on Top and Bottom!!

I finally got my adjustment. I also decided to go for a subtle color on bottom and the same silver on top. My dentist doesn't have many colors to choose from and told me the best ones where the blues, silver and the pink (which stretches a lot easier they said). So powerchains on both top and bottom...

Hope Everything Goes Well!

Hope all goes well on tomorrow. I have had my braces for exactly four weeks and 2 days. I am surprised sometime at the fact that I have virtually forgotten about them. I start talking to someone and forget that they don't know that I have braces.

School's Cancelled!

Thanks. The finally announced today that school is out for the rest of the week. I am a teacher and I like the fact that we get a break, I just don't like the fact that we will see the time at the end of the year. We have about 89 sites and around 70 of those sites are without electricity. They beli...

No Adjustment today!

I am in Oklahoma and we have had a major ice storm that has left over half a million people with out lights and heat. Needless, to say my dentist office was closed and I did not get to see them today. On top of that, one of the areas on the back of my powerchain has broken. The DA told me not to wor...

Thanks. I have noticed in several pictures that some people have spaces that kind of close and open as time progresses I suppose depending upon what their ortho is trying to accomplish. I will post more pics after the adjustment.

It has been three weeks.

Thanks for all of your support. My mouth has adjusted quite nicely and I am still excited. It was three weeks on Monday. Hopefully, I can post these pics correctly so you all can see the progress. I would really be interested in hearing or reading more stories of others who are also closing multiple...

Wow!!

You have done amazing. I too have struggled with my weight and with having teeth that have been less then pleasing. I am on a quest to lose more wieght now and would love to hear more about how you did it, if you don't mind sending me a PM. I was braced on November 12 and am loving it. I haven't see...

Wow! This is funny. I too have had at least one dream about my teeth. I dreamed that my lower incisors where chipped and one was so loose it was bleeding and about to fall out. I was afraid and kept wanting to believe it was a dream but wasn't quite sure. When I finally truly woke up, I was definite...
