Hey there! I am six months post-op (Lefort and BSSO) and I still have some numbness in my tongue too. I actually didn't notice it until somewhere around 8 or 10 weeks after surgery, not sure why... but the left side is almost completely numb and seems to still be just the littlest bit swollen. Besid...

Just my experience here.... but I had a **terrible** time with Z-N-S. I had placed my order well over a month before my surgery, and had to email and call many, many times. I had a lot of trouble getting anyone on the phone and never got a response to any of the emails. Only after I called PayPal (a...

You are definitely not alone! I have read in some others' blogs and journals that they have gotten wonky skin after surgery, and I am 6-weeks post-op and mine is acting up as well. My chin is super dry and I've also got those little pimples like you described around my chin and nose. I'm hoping like...

I'd definitely ask your OS, like you plan to... but... I would think it would be ok once you can eat right. By then you'll be off any meds related to the surgery, and you'll be able to eat properly to get you and the baby what you both need during the pregnancy.

Good luck! :D

Surgery Feb 24th

Hi all... I have been a member here for a while, but I rarely post, as most of my questions are asked by someone else, or what I have to contribute is also done by someone before me.... But, I had upper and lower on Feb 24th to correct an underbite and thought I'd share the journal I'm keeping. Othe...

bmd-- Just curious, as the words "top surgeon in Virgina" caught my eye, who was your surgeon? I live in VA, have a class III, and my surgery is later this year.

Funny I should get on and see this topic today.... I'm six months in, and up until now I haven't been the least bit self consious about the braces. Very recently, tho, I've noticed that my underbite looks even worse (the ortho told me it would happen) and the gaps are driving me nuts because some of...

The only difference I have noticed is that my F's sound a little off.... but just the tiniest bit, probably not even enough for anyone to notice but me.

I've got two other adult friends with braces and they talk just fine, and I'm sure you will too! :D

Good luck!

I got a gap between my two front teeth too. My friend, who has had gapped front teeth her whole life, is trying to teach me how to whistle through it, as I may as well have fun with it while it's there.....
