UPDATE 21ST JULY 2009 - As some of you may or may not have read, I left the UK for Sydney last August and obviously took my braces with me! I continued treatment in Australia. Upon arrival, my new orthodontist noted there had been ZERO movement from start to my arrival with the canine from xrays......

Random Update! So, after informing my ortho I'm moving to Australia on the 14th - she decided to call me in today, and have a random check up to see where I am at so she can make a more detailed report. Good news...I think. We did a xray, and she SEEMS to think the tooth has moved a fair bit since m...

Okay...so I'm having a I-hate-my-braces-more-than-usual day! great! As usual, since my last adjustment - there has been zero movement what so ever, no sensitivity/pain/pressure at all - and everything is completely not fine! As normal I am 100% negative in regards to my 3 year failure of orthodontic...

My braces have been on 3 years - my teeth are perfect, and were before - its all about the canine. We've been pulling on mine with elastics from surgery for over a year and its not even close to poking through....very,very disapointing. Just hope for the best. I was scheduled 18 months...wouldnt sup...

Those photos look good... I'm really, really hoping for a new perspective in Australia. My current ortho simply tightens my elastics every 2 months...the tooth, I know is not moving anywhere - I rarely ever feel any pain/pressure...and I just dont think she's doing a good job at all. For a year I've ...

Unfortunatly (this sounds weird) it's not painful, at all...kinda wish I could feel pressure or pain from the canine, to show its moving...but nothing :( It's meant to be a straight forward procedure; I just seem to have very bad luck and nothing is really shifting. :/ Hmn. Good luck with your frien...

I can't help but think you are right...at this stage, where she knows how badly I am trying to get them off, I find it pretty bad my next appointment is August, and then October after that....I've got some photos to show you where I'm at... You can now see my 2nd button, it looks like its attatched ...

This second button doesnt seemed to have moved much or at all in 2 weeks...I feel a little pain occassionally, but no dramatic movement I was hoping for :( Looks like I'm moving to Australia and transfering orthodontists! Great. Not. I was seriously hoping this would be over...no such luck clearly. ...

Mine was originally attatched to string last May, the chain snapped in October, and was left alone for 3 weeks, where I presume it moved...and then had the chain reattatched in November...now here in end of June she's managed to put another small button on it to pull it outwards as well as down, but...
