Did have removable braces when I was about 12/13, but they stayed that way - removed. Lost them under the bed, didn't like them at all. Then the years rolled by, I passed into adulthood, and didn't quite have the money behind me to go private, until I was in my mid 20's.

Hope your consultation goes okay. If it's something you really want to do, then I say go for it. It's only natural to have reservations, for such a huge committment, but at least you'll have the benefit of other people's experience on here, should you need it.

You've made really great progress in just 10 months, Jaws. Hopefully you will get your early release this Spring Then your teeth will taste the freedom of the summer months. No better feeling, when your ortho tells you that the next time you see him/her, they will be taking off your braces.
