I work in inside sales, and make my living on the phone. Monday, I had top braces and a bit plate put in. I am having a rough time of it so far.

But I have found if I slow my speech down I do better.

I got my upper braces on today as well as a bite plate to keep me from grinding my teeth together. So far it hasn't been too bad, other than re-learning how to talk. I will not get the lower braces on for at least six more months. I got the clear ceramic braces, and they are not all that noticeable....

Woke up this morning with a lot of soreness and pain in my teeth and gums. Eating has really been a chore today. I really hope this gets better sooner than later. I cannot wait until Monday to get these out and the braces on!

I am at work right now...just got back from getting spacers on my top teeth.

This morning was a breeze, but my head and ears are hurting a little bit now.

Next week I will go in to get braces on top and what the ortho calls a bite plate.

I was hoping to have the braces put on in the morning and work that afternoon. I work an inside sales job, and I am on the phone a lot.

What are your thoughts on that?

I get my spacers in October 22, and braces the following week....
I will also have to wear a retainer type device in the roof of my mouth.

This is supposed to correct my overbite and realign my jaw. Once everything goes down. I will let you guys know.

Hi, I will be getting braces in the next few weeks. I am very apprehensive about the whole ordeal and I am just ready to get it over with.

I hope to be able to post my experience here. This site has been a great resource to help make my decision.
