15 almost 16 months ago I was where you are today. I've got a few weeks left! The time will go fast. Practice excellent oral hygiene and you won't have any major probs. seriously, we have never had a food issue with braces. The only food I didn't like to tackle was apples even cut small. Just no fun. But in a few weeks !!! (I'll have to eat them in the basement corner alone.!!)

Ibuprofen for pain, warm salt water rinses, good hygiene, and chew cause you're are experiencing teething pain once again. Congrats on stopping smoking too!
