Body dysmorphic

I have spiraled into a deep dark depression and I have been unable to come out of it. I just don't know what to do or which way to turn and I partly detest myself for becoming so shallow. I had braces at the age of 22 because I did not like my teeth but I was considered very good looking by everyone...

I'm still in two minds about the whole procedure.. I'm quite shocked when I was told that my two front teeth are chipped and looks like they suffered trauma. The worst was being told that braces wouldnt correct it.. because that was the main reasons I got braces in the first place. What is the diffe...

Hey thanks for the replies. Well this particular cosmetic dentist told me that my two front teeth were chipped and it looked like one of the teeth had suffered from some form of trauma. He asked me If I can recall having any form of accident, but to my memory, I cant ever remember having any sort of...

Veneers??

Hey Everyone! Hope you are all good. Ok, so here is the deal, I just came back from another consultation and I have been quoted on having 2 veneers plus a permanent retainer bonded to the back of my upper teeth. The cost is £1900. The veneers will be bonded to my two front teeth. My only concern is...

I Have no idea as to why my teeth relapsed. Ever since the braces came off, I knew something didnt feel right as I wasnt entirely happy with the outcome, and at the time, I had so much going on work/family wise, that I pushed it to the back of my mind. I did everything the orthodontist told me to do...

Hey Naturegirl. Hope you are good! I was the same when I had braces, I saw a huge movement in my bottom teeth and a few in my top teeth within the first month of me getting braces, and I remember thinking to myself about why on earth would it take 18 months! But then I realised that the bite is prob...

Hey. Hope you're ok. I think what some people have said earlier, about saving before taking the plunge, is probably the safest option for you in the long run. It makes sense to save a hefty down payment before hand, cause then if you do have to get a loan out or pay as you go along the treatment tim...

Hey how are you? I remember when I had braces, I did have a lot of trouble the first couple of weeks of getting them as I found it extremely hard to bite into foods such as apples, and I had a very bad cashew nut fetish, and it made it almost impossible to eat them. But after a few weeks, the pain w...

Hey - How are you?

If I was you, I wouldnt be so worried about getting spacers. There is a slight pain for the first few days, and can usually be solved by taking pain killers, but after the first couple of inital days, the pain subsides.. I'm sure you will be fine, fingers crossed and goodluck.

Yeah one does seem thicker and it sticks out a bit more, i can feel it when i run my tongue across my upper teeth.

Where would I need to go to get shaping/bonding? and what do you think i could do to solve this? would i need braces again? or could I go for veneers or something?
