Yipee! I too just had my attachments removed from the top. I have to say it seems strange to feel my teeth again! I was told to wear my retainer at night, but I feel better when i wear it during the day! Silly i think but I'm afraid my teeth are going to shift back to the way they were.

I'd keep them in - that's why you paid so much to have the invisible kind -right??? I'm on tray 19 lower (done on top) - I still would not keep them out for that length of time.

I drink beer with mine in..any frozen drinks, I use a straw because the less sugar getting under the aligners, the better! I agree with sarahr10 - cleam them very well after drinking cause after 2 weeks you can barely stand to have them in your mouth anymore.

No worries! I broke one off after a couple hours! Just make sure you call your ortho and let them know.. Mine really was not too concerned - I went back a week later and he put another back on.

Don't worry - I'm on tray 5 and no one (other than who I have told) knows I'm wearing them! You are more aware than other people of your appearance. Drink a lot of water - this helps with the lisping and the funky feeling you get in your mouth. Advice - do not drink red wine - you will look like a v...

Be patient! The lisping will eventually lesson when you get used to wearing them. I find now that I'm more comfortable with them in then when they are out. If your not already, drink a lot of water! I find that the drier my mouth is, the worse my speech is.

Wow! I feel like I got off cheap! I paid $4500 for mine (14u/30l). I'm in North Carolina.

I use RetainerBrite - it is awesome! I soak them for about 15-20 min after dinner, then brush the aligners with it too. I think I spent about $14 on a 3 month supply - not too bad I think....
