I see what you're speaking about. I had/have a similar issue. In my case, the tooth next to my front teeth was 'protruding' (i'll call it) like yours. The front view in your case, as was in my case looked perfect. However, the tooth just wasn't fitted in perfectly. My ortho took off my braces and I ...

I looked in the yellow pages and narrowed it down to 2 orthos. One I found the location easily and hence made an appointment. At my first consult, I wanted to get the process started at once and had impressions done. The ortho I went to was not recommended (since I've been in treatment I know of no ...

There is definitely a change!
Once you continue to take pics to track your progress you'll absolutely notice the changes otherwise, in my opinion, you wouldn't even notice.

I've noticed that my face is a lot thinner too..and I don't like it --my cute cheeks are like practically gone. I'm 18mths into treatment and I noticed it from month #6-7. I hope it returns to normal when my braces are off...

I brush my teeth after every meal. Usually I feel uncomfortable if I don't brush
Because of this I have cut down on snacking in between meals. Usually I have a snack with my breakfast and lunch and I'll eat something in the evening too... So usually I'll brush about 3 times per day.

I haven't notice any change in the way my food tastes. However it is a bit uncomfortable to eat in public especially since I cannot bite into my food. So I rarely go out to eat  .

Otherwise as I said, food tastes just as good as before :)

Powerchains are used to close gaps (in my opinion at least). Since my 1st adjustment I've had them in, off in my 13th adjustment, back in for the 14th adjustment and currently. So it all depends on what your ortho has to do...you may have them for the rest of your treatment or like me - more tweakin...

Hi! I had only one consult as well. I went to the ortho office and after the consult I asked "how soon can I get started?". I was SOOO unhappy with my smile and was only putting off getting braces. I just wanted to get the process started ASAP. Now sometimes I wonder 'what if' I went to so...

Yeah, I believe braces are losing their "nerd status". When I was in school I DID NOT want braces..cause of the same nerd factor. But now (at 21 yrs) with the right color it can be quite stylish. I mean if you're as extreme as Ugly Betty then I guess the nerd status still exists.. But hey,...

I've had a gap between my bottom central incisor and lateral incisor for about the past 9 months now....Why?? My ortho said he's trying to rotate my central incisor. I don't know why because in my opinion it was perfect and now it's slanted at the side, hasn't moved in months and there's this space....
