A gel toothpaste (my ortho said the solid white kind is too abrasive) and sometimes Efferdent and retainer brite. I also bought a sonic cleaner.

definitely get a sample and try it BEFORE you buy it. I bought some when I was first braced and all I can say is YUCK! The taste was horrid. It didn't help my canker sores either.
