I never had a bracket fall off. And I was always scared in the beginning that brushing would do that but nope, never happened! And I was quite the opposite. Before braces I flossed maybe once a week! When I got braces I was bound and determined to take really good care of my teeth. Once I got the fl...

I am a bit more happy today.....
It actually felt good to have a retainer check today so I could get some answers to some issues. One the gum sensitivity I have been experiencing post braces I was told is actually very normal and all I need to do is rinse a few more times a day with listerine as well as scrub the area really good w...

The gum sensitivity that I'm experiencing is quite normal my ortho said and he instructed me to use listerine 4-5x a day to help toughen up the tissue as well as to scrub in between the molars even through the pain. He said basically it's like having bruised gums and they just need some tough scrubb...

Conrats and looks good. I am 6 weeks post braces and still have minor sensitivity in a few teeth. I go back next week and I hope to ask them if that's normal and if so when it will subside. It only happens occasionally esp. in the morning....I assume since I've been in a retainer for like 8+ hours w...

hmm it is quite interesting. I guess it does depend on the person. I know lots of people who didn't wear retainers and now need braces again at the same time I know some who never wore them and still to this day have perfect teeth. I guess it all depends on how well your teeth sit in their new posit...

I always get confused because some orthos tell patients 24/7 while others say just at night. Some patients get their retainers right after braces are removed while others have to wait a few days or weeks. Don't you think that if they really thought your teeth would significantly move that ALL orthos...
