I don't know if anyone else has experienced this but I've noticed that I now have slight dimples!! Only really noticeable whenever I smile but you know what, I'm kind of liking my new look. I've always thought dimples were cute and now like a miracle, I have them now. I'm not sure if this is due to ...

Oh my goodness wirerose, your teeth are looking amazing there!! In only three months, nonetheless. That's just awesome, I'm sure you're thrilled. I think your teeth are moving at a rather fast pace, compared to mine at least. Because I thought I was experiencing faster than normal progress b...

Wow, KK, you're a psychologist?? That is a very cool profession. :P For a while, I was even considering majoring in psychology and have extremely enjoyed some of the classes I've taken on psychology. I'm glad there are others here who have the same views as myself on this topic. Although I be...

I've never been a drooler but oh boy, almost immediately after getting braces on, I've become a serial drooler!! I almost drool every time I sleep, day or night. It's especially bad when I'm half awake and half asleep. That's hilarious michelle!! Your hubby seems like a sweet guy with a great ...

My ortho's office is a very tightly knit group consisting only of one assistant and usually only one receptionist/financial coordinator. So, every time I go in for an adjustment or a quick fix appointment, usually my doctor does about half the work (examining my teeth when I first sit in the chair a...

Okay, seriously, I can't believe some of you out there are STILL correlating parents who don't get braces for their children to be poor, uneducated, or even neglecting parents after all that has been said here. No offense, but I'm pretty sure my parents and grandparents are far more educated than an...

I just wanted to post my feelings regarding this issue because I took great offense at the thread starter's insinuation about the social classes of people who do not have perfectly aligned teeth from an early age. I personally think, coming to an online community made up mostly of adults going throu...

About your car keys though, I agree with ...

Yes, the ceramic or clear brackets themselves do not stain; only the ligs or ties stain. But, if you're really worried about your ligs staining, you could just choose dark colored ligs even for your ceramics. Since I'm not a smoker myself, I don't know the severity of staining so hopefully someone h...

The Ortho assistant does the tying of ligs and so far, she's only chosen the clear for the ceramic uppers and dark silver (almost identical to the color of the metal brackets) and was thinking of trying different colors starting next month, so thanks for the heads up on the glow-in-the-dark, MissSmi...

I agree with Meryaten, the upper arch seems to be smaller than the lower. I think an Orthodontist will probably recommend extracting some teeth, at least on the upper arch since my upper arch before anything done looked quite similar to yours. I wish I had a picture to show you but unfortunately I o...

Hi there, just wanted to post my experience with the 4 first-bicuspids extraction. I do have to agree with you about the whole procedure, not a fun experience. More so for me, since I was awake during the entire procedure. Anyway, back to topic, if it makes you feel any better I had my extra...
