kate my dear, you neeeed a tongue scraper. i can't tell you how wonderful it felt when i finally scraped all that gunk off. it was like all my problems blissfully washed away or something.

yup, meryaten's right. a tongue scraper is a simple plastic thingy shaped for scraping your tongue. i got mine at shoppers drugmart for like 2 bucks in the toothbrush aisle. i love it! i still use it (i'm about 2 months post-op now) because i was so traumatized by my nasty tongue after i was able to...

eep! sorry to hear about that phil :( good that it's over and done with.

but if it makes anyone else feels better, the majority of jaw surgery cases seem to be vomit-free.

Yeah when I first tried to laugh/smile after surgery, it felt exactly like that - like I was going to crack something! LOL

hmmm.. I wasn't charged extra for my stay at the hospital so I'm not sure if it's because it was included in my $3K bill or if its because I have provincial (Canadian version of "state") health care insurance.
