i am only one year post op but a big yawn or sometimes talking can make it feel like it clunks out and i can move it back in my sliding my jaw back and forth...

Are you taking any meds? I was only given meds in pill form...this proved to be harder to do but i was able to do it....i would have to stand in front of a mirror and put the pill to my teeth,,,,open as much as i could (wasnt barely wide enough) and pop the pill in that way...it took a while but i c...

just about at 1 year post op and have been having this odd thing happening if i yawn or open my mouth too wide SOMETIMES...my jaw kind of clunks only on the left side, kind of feels like it goes out of place (some mild discomfort) then i move it a bit and it goes back to normal....anyone else have t...

I had them really bad too after surgery...i used ice and then heat ....
it will pass in time ..take meds and try to sleep when you can i found when i didnt rest as much they were worse

I lost alot of weight after surgery so some people just thought i looked different because of that but i also got a haircut too
all my feedback was wonderful and almost a year post op i am glad I did it

for me there was some stuff covered by Great west life but I am capped for 1600 a year i paid 2000 out of my own pocket that was after i had already submitted a claim for other things such as dental cleaning, the start up fees with the surgeon etc....like i said i claimed the rest on my income tax ....

i had about 2000 of surgeon fees prior to surgery that wasnt covered by OHIP or my own coverage but you can claim in on income tax

well i thought it was getting better but not so much anymore think i will call the OS on monday and try to get in there ...i hear lots of creaky noises when i open and chew and i am sore...all on my left side and some days i am actually swollen ....man i am now freaking out!!! i am 10 months post op...

i cant be put back in elastics as i was debraced in july
it hasnt been as bad lately but still a achy and the grindy noise is annoying
i also still get some swelling on that side inside my mouth...guess when they say 1 year recovery they mean it!!!

noise, pain in jaw 9 months post op

SO i am 9 months post op and lately i have a grindy type noise in my jaw that i can hear when i chew or talk sometimes and once in a while it hurts. if anyone has a knee that grinds when you bend down it feels like that....is it normal to still have these issues this far after surgery? it kind of sc...

no more elastics!!! i also only have an arch wire to the (fang) tooth upper and lower, to see if my bite is good without it, go back in 3 weeks for a quick check and then July 12th debraced!!!! my gosh it will be 3.5 years and i am so ready to be done with it!!!
