retainers + mouthwash
hi all, i have a hawley retainer that i wear 24/7 but i also use ACT mouthwash everyday and was wondering if anyone knows if this is good/bad for the retainer? i just wonder if any of the leftover mouthwash after i rinse will do anything to either the plastic or metal parts of the retainer... thanks!

when i had my braces taken off and got my hawley for the top, my ortho told me there was a possibility a small gap might open up between my two front teeth (even though there never had been, before or during my braces!). i guess sometimes that just happens with certain cases? but i'm surprised your ...

i have tried both but don't currently own or use either one! my personal thoughts: i had an oral b one (the professional care 8000 i think) right before i got my braces. i didn't really like it because i thought it was too noisy and the spinning of the brush head seemed way too intense for me. perha...

first cleaning after debanding...
...and the dentist says my teeth are looking great, and i have no cavities! to be honest, i hadn't gone to get a cleaning since about a year ago, so i was expecting my teeth to be a little crummy, but she says i am doing a fabulous job and seemed to be impressed by the condition of my teeth. i had e...

hi edinburger, i've had a bonded retainer on my bottoms now for a little over two months. it's really not that bad--i've just gotten used to them and pretty much forget that they are there. and they definitely don't bother my tongue or speech (though this may be different for upper bonded retainers?...

hmm i know something in the oil in peanut butter helps with getting gum off of things, so maybe try that? or i also heard something about white vinegar helping to get gum out of clothing. not sure if it will help with the retainer, but if you do try either just make sure to clean your retainer thoro...
