My teeth have moved

It's been about 6 weeks since I've had my braces off and in that time my teeth have moved.
It's pretty disheartening. I've been wearing the retainer for around 16=18 hrs a day.
If I wear it more consistently will it fix my teeth, can they be repositioned just by wearing the retainer?

Do retainers move teeth?

One of my tooth was a little pushed back and they said the retainer will help move it? It's the clear mouth guard type retainer - top and bottom. Also, I haven't been wearing as often as I should. Prob 18 hours a day. It's only been a month since braces came off. If I wear it consistently now, will ...

Exercise

Ok, it's been 42 days since my surgery (upper and lower) and I haven't been to the gym since before surgery. I want to go back now and start to work out again - that's fine right. I think I might avoid running on the treadmil (im not sure I want to test my jaw out just yet), but I'll be fine if i st...

So what does lymphatic drainage do and how does it work?

What kind of a practitioner does it?

Swelling is a complain as I'm learning.

I'm back to uni this Monday and know I'm going to get some stares.

Bring on 4 weeks from now!

I had upper and lower.

And yes, spasms is a good way of describing it.

I'm seeing my ortho tomorrow so I'll see what she says.

No elastics

My surgeon said I didn't need elastics as my jaw wasn't moving and he was really happy with it.

But every now and again my jaw like kind of twitches.

I'm a little paranoid that I'm going to relapse completely or something.

Am I worried over nothing.

I can emphasize with you. Believe me, I had a shocking underbite but most people don't notice/don't care. I'd actually say an underbite is easier to hide than an overbite. And you're still young! Don't worry about your youth wasting away - I'm 20 and just had surgery, and feel don't feel like I've l...

Still got a fair amount of swelling and not talking properly - its annoying. I wanna get out and hang with friends and have a social life again but I'm hoping by the end of next week it's improved even more so. I guess a few weeks won't kill me. I mean its improved a lot since last week so fingers c...

Smile awkward?

Is your smile suppose to be awkward post surgery?

I'm 12 days now but when I try to smile it looks unnatural/awkward.
Obviously there's still a fair amount of swelling.

But yeah, I'm just so eager to see my proper smile for like the first time ever.

About 3/4 of my bottom lip feels normal though the the rest of it and the entire top are pretty much still numb and I've got that itching feeling on my chin which is rather irritable.

Yep, completely understand. In the final few months the surgery was the only thing that really occupied my mind and I pretty much didn't have much of a social life. Now, I've had my surgery and am recovering which is taking more time of my life on hold but at least it's done now. I'm pretty optimist...
