Re: mistake
I have more or less stared at that light every day for over a decade and no eye problems. One little burst shouldnt do anything. Gum recession can be painful -- especially to cold temperature items. You arent going to have long term issues with one bracket off and starting wires are typically quite ...

Re: Bite has not been fixed
Like an essix , only heavier, with the NTI discluding element.
NTI can open the bite if your condyles are not seated but after all of that invisalign it is probably already seated.

Re: Bite has not been fixed
full arch retainers with a discluding element (ala an NTI) could prove helpful.
Also perhaps consider some botox in the massetters and temporalis muscles

Re: Shifting a molar in adults - can it be done?
You can likely get a sinus lift and still get an implant. That is a routine procedure that is often coupled with implant placement. Chances are if the tooth was ext 5 years ago there is likely little to no hope that there is enough bone to safely bring the molar forward. It pretty much has to be don...

Re: Shifting a molar in adults - can it be done?
There are a lot of factors that relate to whether this can work or not. If the tooth was extracted a while ago chances are not good as the bone has already resorbed and the teeth have to move thorough the bone.. You will likley not be able to move both molars, one at the most. Even with orthodontic ...

Re: Question for those who BITE is the only issue
You still have to level, align, and rotate the teeth into a plane of space that allows a stiff, thick archwire on which you can start space closure. Also even though you think your teeth may look straight there are often issues that muct be addressed, IOW you may not have rotated teeth but the archf...

Re: Bottom Teeth Shifting due to Wisdom teeth.
I posted this elsewhere but it applies here as well: why do teeth relapse Because you are a living organism that ages and changes. Your facial muscles get tighter and less pliable -- anyone getting wrinkles Your teeth also have a natural migration forward. So you have your facial muscles pushing inw...

Re: Am I being paranoid? (Pics)
Also remember the ortho can make minor adjustments using the retainer :) I was afraid he wouldn't let me debraced last week due to a few tiny issues but he said it can all be easily fixed with the retainer! Yep. Many of these minor movements are done with the retainers. Def tell the doc about your ...

Re: I got TMJ-like symptoms from neck and shoulder pain!
you didnt offend me, I just said this is a hugely debated topic and there is much disagreement btwn docs over this(on the verge of fist fights -- seriously) You are entitled to your opinion based on your training, knoweldge and experiences and I am entilted to mine. The condyles will only 'seat' if ...
