not that i took mine out for this length of time often. but, when i did, i made sure i wore them for an extra day before switching to the next aligner. whether or not that actually helped anything...i dont know. but, that's what i did.

Uggh. I have to go searching through threads to find peoples tips on how to get those things off. My ortho just said to start at the back and I did and it comes off the backs but not enough to take off the sides. devushka, try using a tissue or paper towel and start the the rear ends. i found that ...

LOWER BONDED RETAINER IN...BUTTONS AND LAST ALIGNER OUT!

i feel free...well, almost. but it feels good. only 8 weeks left. my ortho thinks i won't need a refinement for the uppers. so, i'm pretty damn happy about that!

merry xmas to me. :D

ugh, i dont' know if i'm being impatient or if this is just TOO long to be waiting either way your doc isn't giving you the attention you need. i'd be pissed if i were you. in my opinion, you're waiting way too long. i'm in canada and my first aligners and my refinement came very quick. i was shock...

Meryaten - i realized that after my reply. but, i couldn't find an edit button, so I just left it alone. ;) when i'm naughty (as in drinking acidic beverages with my aligners in), i always rinse with water or brush as soon as possible afterwards...or even in between drinks. even though i have rock h...

i drink just about everything with them in. as long as the liquid isn't hot. i will usually take them out for coffee or tea. if its a real pain to take them out at the time, i'll wait until the coffee or tea has cooled off quite a bit. i'll even eat some soft foods with them in, such as breads, donu...

sorry about your frustration, fabfemme. i'd be pissed if my doc wasn't communicating with me. after all, we are paying these people a s@#$load of money!!! i know this doesn't help your situation, but my refinement only took a few weeks to come in. my advice is to keep harassing your doc until you ge...

new short-sided aligners

i got a set of 5 lower aligners to fine-tune my teeth after completing 11 trays. the new trays are half a tooth short on one side. just wondering if this is the way they are making them now to allow for easier removal. they irritate the tongue quite a bit. very annonying! on a positive note, i'm get...

i usually only feel some pain when i take them out to eat the first day or two. other than that, it just feels like a little pressure. that goes away pretty quck. i sometimes get a headache the first day of a new tray, though.

my trays almost never fit perfectly. sometimes there is a small visual space in the attachment area. i asked about this and my ortho said not to worry because the attachments do wear down some over time and as long as they are still there they will do their job. hopefully, that is accurate. so far s...

my ortho did a set, looked at them and knew right away that they didn't turn out right. so, we did them again and that time they were perfect. you're right, it does sound like your dentist doesn't have much experience with invisalign. also, my impression didn't hurt one bit. just kind of uncomfortab...

well, time is flying and i'm on my last tray for the lowers! unfortunetly, a small space is left inbetween 2 teeth. so, i'm getting a refinement done. should only be a few trays to finish up. the uppers are coming along nicely too. should see some real movement now. i'm experiencing almost no pain n...

the sunlight definitely makes them more visible. the only time someone has noticed that i was wearing the trays was on a bright, sunny day. damn close talkers! :D
