Thank God, its not just me!!!!!!!!!

I went for a meal last night and do ya know I could have been eating anything. I had sea bass and everybody was saying how fantastic it was, but I was getting texture not taste.

I was not expecting this but... Everything I eat now, Im not really tasting.. everything is bland. I have my braces on a week and I have been really lucky. No pain as such, teeth a little tender, but I can eat and chew no problem. I can't put my finger on the problem, but eating is not the same.. Is...

Congrats on getting them in (well half of them at least!). I've been very surprised myself with how little the brackets have bothered me. Wait till you get a wire poking out of the back! Well, i have them.

Top only for now, the lower ones maybe after Christmas.

They actually look very small and neat. Eating is a chore alright, but Im not sore as such. just a bit tender, and as yet no sores in my mouth.

Thanks for this.. Im getting braces on tomorrow. With this post in mind, I picked up 2 cartons of this smoothie in Tescos today, on special offer ( two for €6).. hidden in the bottom of the fridge from my two boys!

Just out of interest, did you lose any weight in the first few weeks of having your braces put on?

Im about 21lbs over and hope braces might kickstart weightloss
