Whoa, thanks for that! I did use the Orajel Desensitizer, but it didnt work because I was unable to apply it to my teeth next to the gums because of my brackets. Ambasol might work for the time being. I will be sure to make a dentist appointment as soon as my insurance kicks in after January 1, 2009...

HELP! REALLY bad tooth sensitivity!!!

OMG, ok, so this is the FIRST time in my whole 30 months of treatment that my teeth have been THIS sensitive (i get debanded in less than a month, how's THAT for late sensitivity). And all my online researching and searching this board comes up with stuff like "brush your teeth with sensitive t...

I thought that I looked nice actually. They werent as bulky as I was expected, but they sure were tight fitting, lol. I spend the entire day making hubby laugh with my "me as a teenaged girl" impressions.

It will probably be sensitive for the first week or so, especially since you are new to them. The best advice I got was to keep chewing, the more you chew even while your teeth are sensitive, the faster you will "toughen up". Your cheeks will also "toughen up" and get use to the ...

Does dwindling balance equal nearing end of treatment?

Ok, so I calculated that i will have paid off my braces in Feb. 2009 and it KINDA coincides with my possible end of treatment, but is that really so? Is it possible that even though I pay off my balance that they may not be done with my treatment? And if so, how does that even work, do they just con...

I agree with the above posters, but for me i dont want PERFECT, i just want to look nice for me, so i said no to the suggestions that i get my jaw broke and reset and to extract up to 4 teeth in the front. I am nearing the end of my treatment and i love the results. Do I look like i could be a Crest...

I moved and changed orthos after a 1 year braced (ive been braced 2 years this Sept). It wasn't too hard, tho i was thorough in doing my research on what orthos would be in my new area and pricing them out. I finally found my new ortho in my area, he was a lil pricier than what I was paying, but he ...

Yea, im pretty sure i could eat the foods ive been avoiding since ive gotten braces, i just dont want to deal with the potential mess and possible broken brackets afterwards. People have offered me gum and caramel-type candy, but i usually get myself worked up the most when i see, smell, or hear som...
