I no longer have a powerchain. (old pic) :)

Gap between teeth. Help!

Ok, so on my last appointment (sept 27) my ortho added a new rubber band configuration to help the middle of my top and bottom teeth meet up. Its going from the top right to the bottom left, pretty much right across the front of my mouth. I have another going the same directions, but more towards th...

Thanks, Linda21!

And my teeth are starting to hurt a lot less now, thank goodness; I have other things to worry about this week besides my teeth.

So, yesterday I had an appointment, and things were pretty much same as always, then the ortho comes over to look at my mouth. Now, normally, he doesn't spend too much time doing this, but this time he just kept looking and poking and prodding. Open, bite down, now open, now bite down. This worried ...

Just a reply on the pic downsizing. Photobucket has a tool that will size your pic the right size for a message board. :)

Join the club honey! For me spacers were the worst part of the whole process, and possibly the worst pain I've ever had. I know that probably isn't helpful, but just think of it how I did: It's only gonna get better!

My total cost was $5032.00 Broken down: * Records = $200.00 * Downpayment = $958.00 * Monthly payment = $191.60 (for 15 months) * Additional payment = $1000.00 (we thought insurance would cover this part, but it turns out they wouldn't cover braces past age 18) This is in a town in Texas that isn't ...

Oh, nonononono! Not well done Stacexox! No!!! I am offended on behalf of steak lovers everywhere! Or at least those in Texas ;) I'm just messing with you, but seriously a steak is yummiest when rare or medium rare (bloody and still mooing as I call it!) Mehh.... to each his own

Well, talking about foods, cravings, and food no-no's, I'm lucky in that I don't like the sugar-type candies, I'm more of a chocolate and caramel person (the soft caramel that tends to be tucked inside chocolates, not the really hard kind you eat by itself) so I can pretty much give into any junk fo...

From reading all the posts, I can see that the posts have gotten slightly off topic, but I will respond anyhow. Your teeth aren't that bad. However, there is almost always room for improvement. As someone said earlier there is a chance that your teeth could shift and get worse. I am 21. I've had bra...

I'm pretty sure mine used a light... Although I wasn't 100% focused on what they were doing when I got my braces put on because I was trying not to gag on the giant thing they stuck in my mouth (lip-spreader-thing) As for your bracket coming off. I think it may have to do with type of glue/cement th...

Well, I have about another year left, and since I just had my 21st birthday, I reckon I'll get de-braced right before or after my 22nd birthday.

I only wish that braces caused weight loss! The only time this process has impeded eating for me was when I had those evil spacers in my teeth. I barely ate anything during that time, but as soon as they were out, watch out food! And now that my bite plate is off and I can more easily bite into sand...
