Ugh, I know taking those impressions was awful! And I've done it twice (at the beginning of the treatment, and for my refinements). Don't worry, out of the whole treatment, I think that was really the worst of it!

It really doesn't hurt! It just feels weird. Takes only a minute or two, depending how much they have to shave.

I live in Montreal and I also paid $6500 for my treatment. It was originally for 18 sets of aligners, therefore 36 weeks, but with the refinements, and some extra time here and there, it's really been about 18 months.

IPR

Every time I go (every 6 weeks) they do IPR. However, it's never hurt, although it's not the most unpleasant thing, just weird. I don't know how many mm they're doing each time though..

public speaking

Once you get used to them (ie, get rid of the lisp factor, if it happens to you), speaking for two hours at a time should probably not be a problem. I often have to give all day trainings or lead all day meetings, and I only start having issues after many hours (my mouth starts getting sluggish, it'...

Pain like I've never felt! 9th aligners

3 days ago I got my regular dental checkup and cleaning, and switched to a new set of aligners (9th set - out of 18 sets). I have been in pain every since. At first I thought it was just the typical pressure type pain I usually get with a new set of aligners for the first couple of days. By the end ...

pulling teeth out..

peom....I thought the exact same thing the first week, I was actually questioning to myself - is it physically possible to pull my teeth out of my mouth?? it does sound ridiculous but there's no one to really ask and when you just start invisalign, what do you know? Not that I'm that experienced, I'...
